Support for God’s Window in Futurity Trophy betting

God’s Window has been the big mover in Coral’s Kameko Futurity Trophy betting odds this week and is one of eight declarations for the season’s final Group One race at Doncaster on Saturday.
John And Thady Gosden’s God’s Window created a taking impression when debuting during the St Leger Festival at the course and has been cut to 6/1 from 10/1.
Ben Brookhouse’s Redhot Whisper was less than a length adrift on that occasion and is also engaged but is priced at 40/1.
Charlie Appleby’s Autumn Stakes winner Ancient Wisdom leads the way in the Futurity Trophy odds at 13/8 having been supplemented for the Town Moor contest earlier this week, while Roger Teal’s 4/1 shot Dancing Gemini returns to the scene of an impressive track victory in the Flying Scotsman Stakes.
Diego Velazquez (pictured below) is second favourite at 7/4. Having impressed on his debut, the Frankel colt took the step up to Group company in his stride when seeing off stablemate Capulet in Leopardstown’s Champions Juvenile Stakes.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien has a fine record in this race, which he claimed with subsequent Derby hero Auguste Rodin in 2022, and is also represented in the line-up by Battle Cry at 66/1.
Devil’s Point will bid to give David Menuisier a second Group One victory in the space of a week, with Deira Mile completing the field for Owen Burrows, although he is also declared at Doncaster on Friday.
Coral’s Lewis Knowles said: “This will require a huge step forward from the form of his debut win, but clearly God’s Window is very highly thought of to be pitched in at this level on only his second start, and John and Thady Gosden’s horse has been the big mover of the week in our Futurity betting.
“Ancient Wisdom is clinging on to favouritism over Diego Velazquez at the moment, and Charlie Appleby’s horse should relish conditions once again having seemingly improved for soft ground when an impressive winner of the Autumn Stakes only a fortnight ago.”
