Spain vs Georgia Betting Odds

The stage is set for a blockbuster Euro 2024 last-16 showdown as tournament favorites Spain square off against the remarkable Cinderella story of Georgia at Cologne Stadium on Sunday. 

Spain have looked every bit the part of potential champions so far, cruising through a tough Group B with a perfect record and not conceding a single goal. Manager Luis de la Fuente has his squad playing with flair, precision and confidence. With stars like Pedri, Nico Williams and Alvaro Morata firing on all cylinders, La Roja are primed to launch a deep run in the knockout stage.

But standing in their way are the giant-killers from Georgia. Appearing in their first ever major tournament, the Crusaders have already pulled off the greatest upset in Euros history by knocking out Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in the group finale. Manager Willy Sagnol has molded a cohesive and spirited unit who play with no fear. In Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze, they possess two of the most in-form attackers in Europe.

Spain will be heavy favorites, but they underestimate Georgia at their peril. The Georgians have already shown they can rise to the occasion against elite opposition. If they can frustrate Spain early and get Kvaratskhelia on the ball in dangerous areas, an upset isn't out of the question.  

However, Spain's quality should ultimately see them through. With a water-tight defense anchored by Aymeric Laporte and a midfield conductor in Pedri who can unlock any defense, La Roja have too much class to slip up here. Expect them to control possession, probe patiently and eventually find the breakthrough. 

Georgia will battle valiantly and may even snatch a goal on the counter. But Spain should have enough firepower to book their place in the last eight. The smart money is on La Roja advancing, though it may not be the cakewalk many are predicting.

It promises to be a gripping and hard-fought contest between a tournament favorite and an inspired underdog with nothing to lose. Sunday can't come soon enough for football fans everywhere as Spain and Georgia get set for an epic Euro 2024 clash in Cologne.

Spain are strong contenders in this edition of the Euros, so we think they will be too much for Georgia. Even though they played excellent against Portugal.
