Sizing John heads betting for Festival Gold Cup double

Last month’s Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Sizing John is 11-10 favourite with the sponsor to complete a famous double with victory in Wednesday’s Coral Punchestown Gold Cup, following the final declarations for the race today. Djakadam is 5-2 second favourite, ahead of the 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Coneygree at 11-2.
“After his Cheltenham triumph last month, Sizing John is a worthy favourite to complete the Gold Cup double, but the first year of our sponsorship of the Punchestown Gold Cup has been blessed with a high class field, with Coneygree’s return to action adding particular spice to the occasion,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
