Chelsea v Sunderland

  • Saturday, December 19th
  • Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
  • Stamford Bridge, London

Blues on the brink

Chelsea are just one point off the Premier League relegation zone and should Sunderland beat them, the Black Cats can go level with the west London side who have just sacked Jose Mourinho.

The Wearside outfit are 9/1 with Coral to emerge from Stamford Bridge with three points and will take heart from the fact that Sam Allardyce has made them hard to beat since becoming boss, plus their hosts’ abysmal run of form.

Two seasons ago Sunderland emerged 2-1 winners in this fixture, courtesy of a Fabio Borini winning penalty and, as such the Italian is 11/2 to net in the anytime market.

Chelsea have taken just one point from nine, scoring the same amount of goals with Loic Remy netting what turned out to be a consolation against the Foxes last time out and the Frenchman is 4/1 to break the deadlock.

Manchester United v Norwich

  • Premier League
  • Saturday, December 19th
  • Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
  • Old Trafford, Manchester

United seek morale-boosting win

Louis van Gaal will have identified this match as an ideal opportunity to claim three points with the club without a win in three Premier League matches.

As such, Man Utd are odds-on at 4/9 to beat the Canaries and were comprehensive 4-0 winners over them two seasons ago in the same fixture, with Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata bagging a brace apiece. While the former is unavailable due to injury, Mata is 7/4 to strike again anytime.

Wes Hoolahan struck a vital equaliser for Norwich against Everton last time out and could be worth a punt at 6/1 in the anytime market.

Southampton v Tottenham

  • Premier League
  • Saturday, December 19th
  • Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
  • St Mary’s, Southampton

Spurs to bounce back at Saints

Tottenham are 15/8 to beat Southampton and, following their shock defeat against Newcastle United last time out, will be more than motivated to pick three points up on the south coast.

Playing just three days after their 4-1 Europa League victory over Monaco might have had something to do with this loss and, after a full week to recover, Spurs should be back to their best. Erik Lamela, who hit a hat-trick in that match, is 11/4 to net anytime, having also scored in the 2-2 result in this fixture last term.

Graziano Pelle, meanwhile, bagged a brace in that clash and, as such, the Italian is 9/2 to open the scoring. With genuine talent in both sides, this should be an entertaining match.

Stoke City v Crystal Palace

  • Premier League
  • Saturday, December 19th
  • Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
  • Britannia Stadium, Stoke

Stoke to stifle Palace

The Potters are in a good run of recent form and are well-fancied at 7/5 to beat Crystal Palace as the Staffordshire side build up to what will be a run of Premier League fixtures over the festive period.

Austrian attacker Marko Arnautovic has been in fantastic form this season and bagged a brace in the Potters’ last home match, resulting in a 2-0 win over Manchester City. He is 15/8 to net in the anytime market.

Last term, the Eagles flew away with three points, following a 2-1 win and scorer in that fixture Wilfried Zaha is 10/3 to net anytime once more.

West Bromwich Albion v Bournemouth

  • Premier League
  • Saturday, December 19th
  • Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
  • The Hawthorns, Birmingham

Both teams form makes for interesting match

The Baggies resilient run of recent form has seen them take six points from their last four games, in which they have remained unbeaten and are consequently 29/20 to beat Bournemouth.

Craig Gardner dispatched in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool last time out and is 5/1 in the anytime market, while for the Cherries, who beat Man Utd last time out, Josh King who hit the winner is 6/1 to break the deadlock.

Everton v Leicester City

  • Premier League
  • Saturday, December 19th
  • Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
  • Goodison Park, Liverpool

A tale of two strikers

Both teams in a good run of form clash with Everton narrow favourites at evens to beat Leicester who sit top of the Premier League.

It will be interesting to see who comes out on top between prolific strikers Jamie Vardy and Romelu Lukaku in this clash.

Vardy is 6/1 to break the deadlock for a second match running, while Lukaku, who opened the scoring against Norwich last time out, is 4/1 to do the same again. Foxes Riyad Mahrez now has four in his last two matches and is well priced at 15/8 in the anytime market.
