Siskin heads Irish 2,000 Guineas betting

Latest odds ahead of Friday’s Irish Guineas
The unbeaten Group 1 winning juvenile Siskin is the 2/1 favourite for Friday’s Irish 2,000 Guineas following the latest entry stage for the Curragh Classic.
Armory is the nearest challenger as the second favourite at 7/2, ahead of his Ballydoyle stablemates Vatican City and Royal Lytham, who are priced at 9/1 and 7/1 respectively.
Coral’s David Stevens said: “Pinatubo was unable to maintain his unbeaten record when sent off as market leader for Saturday’s Qipco 2,000 Guineas, but favourite backers will be hoping Siskin can do what the Godolphin colt couldn’t when he bids for his Classic glory on Friday evening.”
Albigna heads the betting for the Irish 1,000 Guineas as the 6/4 favourite, ahead of Peaceful at 4/1. Love won the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket last weekend and comes into the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh as joint third favourite at 5/1.
Elsewhere, the day’s opening winner at Haydock, Lauded, has been priced at 12/1 for the Coventry Stakes at next week’s Royal meeting. Poetic Flare still heads the field as the 8/1 favourite.
Enable remains the 11/10 favourite to win the Coral-Eclipse, with Ghaiyyath second favourite at 3/1 ahead of Japan at 4/1.
