Serie A: Lazio home record should result in more Milan misery

Eagles awesome in Eternal City
Lazio boast a 100 per cent home record in Serie A this season, so fallen Italian giants AC Milan’s prospects of leapfrogging them look bleak.
Coral’s match betting reflects this with the Rossoneri rated 13/5 outsiders to end the Eagles’ run and 23/10 to take a point from this raid on Rome. Lazio are worthy odds-on 19/20 favourites for victory, however, as Milan have achieved just one away win all season.
Rossoneri coach Sinisa Mihajlovic spent six successful years with in Eagles as a player (1998-2004), winning four trophies after earlier turning out for Eternal City rivals Roma. The Milan job is proving difficult for the former Yugoslavia wing back, however, despite substantial squad investment.
Big money buy Bacca lives up to billing
One of those brought to the red half of the San Siro this summer was Colombia striker Carlos Bacca. He seemed sure to suit Serie A and has indeed proved it with five goals in 10 games.
Anytime odds of 7/4 for Bacca to find the back of the net again here are thus worth a wager. French forward Jeremy Menez, meanwhile, is a big miss for Milan with hip problems, because he has proved to be a thorn in Lazio’s side before.
Mihajlovic needs more from attacking alternative Luiz Adriano (9/4 anytime) and box-to-box midfielder Andrea Bertolacci (4/1), who has not kicked on from an impressive campaign at Genoa last term.
Klose and co should come good
At 37, Eagles striker Miroslav Klose is a veteran – even by Serie A standards. The World Cup finals all-time top scorer also boasts a superb record of three in six league games against the Rossoneri.
Klose has Milan-owned frontman Alessandro Matri competing with him to lead Lazio’s attack, and may be benched as a result. If he gets on, however, Germany centurion Klose is a nifty 9/2 to net last.
Loan deals in Italy don’t prohibit players from turning out against their parent clubs, so Matri is free to keep his place, and is 5/1 to fire in the opener. Brazil cap Felipe Anderson (7/4 anytime) and Azzurri international Antonio Candreva (2/1) continue to lead the supporting cast, with midfield runner Marco Parolo sidelined.
