Coral ambassador and leading jockey Sean Bowen gives this thoughts on his three rides on Saturday at Sandown.

1.15 – Hourvari

This is a seniors’ handicap hurdle, but this horse is unexposed for an eight-year-old as he has only raced seven times over hurdles. He ran well off a long break at Wetherby last time, finishing second. I think he will come on for that run, as he was entitled to need it. There is a lot in his favour, so I am expecting a big run from him. He has a solid chance.

1.50 – Roccovango

He has done nothing but improve since switching to fences. We don’t really know how far this horse will go as he is quite laid back and he doesn’t win by far. This is a drop in distance but his jumping has been very good so that will stand him well over these stiff fences at Sandown. He is at the top end of the betting for the race, and he deserves his place there.

2.25 – Good Luck Charm

It always pays to be a course and distance winner around Sandown and this mare prevailed there last time out. She does have a lot to do on the ratings here, but she is in good form and it is only a small field, so I certainly would not be counting her out.
