4.40 – Gunsight Ridge

He looked like he was going to win at the start of the season at Cheltenham but then fell at the last. He was then disappointing at Kelso where he just never seemed to travel throughout the race. Last time at Sandown he was back to his best.

I am glad this is not a full field, as that will give him a good chance to get into the race early without being flat out. He has C&D form here, but he is now off a career-high mark of 145, so he will need to take another step forward.

5.15 – Slack Alice

Her runs have got better with each start, with her latest performance being a second-place finish at Huntingdon. We are realistic about our prospects here, as there are plenty of winners in the race. Hopefully, she can prove competitive and make the most of the 8lb she will be receiving for her age.

Sean Bowen has also given his initial thoughts on his Grand National ride, Three Card Brag, to Coral through the means of another ambassador blog.
