We enjoyed plenty of thrilling European football in midweek, and now our focus switches back to domestic matters this weekend.
There’s plenty at stake in the Premier League today, with the six-pointer between Burnley and Cardiff City arguably the pick of the action. A win could haul Burnley clear of the drop zone, but Cardiff would pull them right back into it if they come out on top.
But we don’t start our preview there, we’re heading to North London for the early kick-off…
Tottenham Hotspur v Huddersfield Town (12:30pm – Sky One/Sky Sports Premier League)
After the high of beating Manchester City on Tuesday, Spurs will have to ensure there’s no complacency here as 2/9 favourites.
The already-relegated visitors have only scored in one of their last eight games on the road. Even without Harry Kane, a third-successive Spurs win to nil over the Terriers is going for 19/20.
Son Heung-Min will be the main man for Spurs with Kane on the sidelines. He’s 5/2 to score first or 16/5 to bag two or more.
With so many games coming up, Fernando Llorente could get some minutes too. He’s 5/6 to net.
Burnley v Cardiff City (3:00pm)
Burnley have the momentum here. They’ve won two on the spin, while Cardiff have only picked up three of the last 18 points available in league action.
Our traders have Burnley at 20/23, with Cardiff back at 16/5. There’s 23/10 about the draw, though home advantage could make the difference.
Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood have been constant threats for Burnley since the turn of the year. They’re 5/4 and 9/5 respectively to score.
Bobby Reid is the Bluebird’s likeliest scorer at 13/5. Victor Camarasa has chipped in with a few vital strikes too. He’s 10/3 to get another at Turf Moor.
Southampton v Wolves (3:00pm)
After their FA Cup semi-final disappointment last week, Wolves don’t have much to play for now. That’s not the case with Saints, who could potentially move eight points clear of the bottom three with a 6/4 win.
Wolves have found it hard to break down the less glamourous sides at times this season. A morale-boosting home win to nil is a 3/1 shot.
Danny Ings is 7/2 favourite to open the scoring, with James Ward-Prowse potentially one to watch at 12/5 anytime.
Wolves’ front duo will be key if they’re to get a result here. Raul Jimenez is 2/1 to score, with Diogo Jota a 13/5 shot.
