Saturday Acca tips: Roma, Leicester and Hertha Berlin included
Published:Plenty of continental football on the cards
There’s a full house of games across Europe’s top leagues this weekend, including a potential goalfest in La Liga.
Ahead of the action, the Coral News Team have picked out five top tips – ranging from Premier League to Serie A…
Empoli have suffered seven defeats in their last 10 games, and could be set for another difficult evening as they face a Roma side who are scoring for fun.
I Giallorossi are eyeing up a fourth win on the spin. Eusebio Di Francesco’s side have netted 12 times in their last three games, conceding just once.
The last eight head-to-heads have produced six Roma wins and a couple of draws. This should be another three points for Edin Dzeko and co.
The Foxes are in fine form at home, winning three of their four games at the King Power Stadium so far this season. And Saturday sees them host an Everton side who haven’t won away from home since April.
Leicester have had the better of recent meetings, winning four of the previous seven head-to-heads.
Claude Puel’s side also boast a striker in good form in the shape of Jamie Vardy. The 29-year-old has scored in three of his last five Premier League outings.
ADO are sitting mid-table in the Eredivisie, having taken a solid eight points from their last five games. And they host a Groningen side in serious trouble.
Danny Buijs’ men have taken a single point from their last four games and have won just once on their travels in 2018.
With ADO fresh off the back of two impressive away draws in the league and a cup mauling of OJC Rosmalen, they should prove too strong at Cars Jeans Stadium.
Everything seems to point to goals in this clash. Hosts Alaves and visitors Real are both among the half-dozen sides who’ve netted 10 or more times in La Liga so far.
Alaves have netted 10 times in their last five games, with four of those matches seeing both sides register. As for Los Blancos’, six of their last seven league away days have produced a BTTS – Yes.
With the last two clashes in Alaves ending 4-1 and 2-1 to Real, it’s hard to see past BTTS – Yes.
The capital club are currently third in the Bundesliga, and make the visit to Mainz off the back of a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich last weekend.
Hertha have now netted two or more goals in five of their last six games, and face a Mainz side who’ve managed just two clean sheets in the last nine outings.
With striker Vedas Ibisevic having netted three in three for Hertha, the Bundesliga’s surprise package could prove too hot to handle again.
