Coral’s rumour reel

Euro 2016 has reached the exciting knockout stage in France and, with the summer transfer window soon opening on July 1st, many Premier League managers will still be scouting the talent at the finals, while others are hoping to snap up new players as soon as possible.

Vazquez in Baggies’ sights

That includes West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis, who is reportedly keen on bolstering his Baggies attacking ranks with the acquisition of Palermo forward Franco Vazquez this summer.

The West Midlands club are believed to have already entered talks regarding Vazquez’s switch to The Hawthorns in a deal worth around £14m, though the 27-year-old attacking midfielder is also tempted by moves to the capital.

Recently, the Serie A playmaker stated: “I do not know if my next team will be Tottenham or Chelsea.”

Although, Pulis is still hopeful of landing his man, with the two-cap Italy international who was born in Argentina representing a huge coup for West Brom ahead of the new 2016/17 Premier League season. The Rosanero midfielder netted eight times this past term and was booked 11 times, as well as being dismissed once too.

Sunderland seek Tufan

After narrowly avoiding relegation last campaign, Sunderland coach Sam Allardyce is hoping to avoid another season of battling the drop by boosting his current Black Cats squad and Turkey international midfielder Ozan Tufan has become an outlined target.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who can also deputise on the right wing or at full back, has previously been dubbed the new Yaya Toure due to his performances from the central areas and the Black Cats are aiming to claw him to the Stadium of Light this summer.

Fenerbahce star Tufan has been capped 27 times for his country and recently dispatched in the 2-0 Euro 2016 group victory over the Czech Republic on French soil, with the talented youngster still possessing four years on his current contract at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Turkey after arriving from Bursaspor last summer.

Reports also suggested that Manchester United had shown some interest in his signature and the player’s current club coach Vitor Pereira rates him very highly, having stated: “He still has a lot to learn and that is my job but the world will soon have a central midfielder on the level of Yaya Toure on their hands.”

Man Utd on red alert over Rodriguez

Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez has reportedly been told he can depart the Bernabeu this summer, with Man Utd now on red alert for his services, but Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils must fork out at least £50m for his signature.

The Colombia international star was an unused substitute as Real overcame their close city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final on penalties, and the South American is said to be displeased with such a lack of playing time.

Meanwhile, Portuguese tactician Mourinho is aiming to bolster his inherited Old Trafford set up before his maiden campaign in charge, and Rodriguez would be a superb signing to help his target of getting the club back to Premier League supremacy.
