Robbie Purves | July 1, 2016

As the summer transfer window officially swings open, clubs have wasted no time chasing down their targets one by one as they look to complete some of their business while Euro 2016 hots up.

Sissoko to seal Reds switch?

Liverpool are reportedly tracking wantaway Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

The France midfielder revealed earlier this month that he hopes to leave the Magpies this summer and said a move to Arsenal would be “a dream”.

However, Arsene Wenger is not interested in his fellow Frenchman after sealing the signature of midfielder Granit Xhaka.

Now, according to reports in France, Liverpool are firm favourites to land Sissoko and will intensify their efforts after Euro 2016. Rafael Benitez’s side have already rejected a £9m offer from Hamburg for the 26-year-old, and is keen to keep him at St James’ Park for the upcoming Championship campaign.

Sissoko is determined to leave Tyneside before the start of the new season, though, and it is understood a bid of £12m would be enough to prise him away.

Saints negotiate Nagy deal

According to reports, Southampton are in pole position to land Ferencvaros star Adam Nagy amid a flutter of strong interest from Marseille, and Premier League champions Leicester.

Benfica have also shown willingness to bid for the 21-year-old, after a superb breakthrough season in Hungary and eye catching performances at the Euros.

However, new Saints manager Claude Puel, has reportedly given the green light to sign the Hungarian. Nagy plays plays as a holding midfielder, and looks to be a direct replacement for the departed Victor Wanyama.

Devils splash out for Pogba

As Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed his move to Manchester United on social media, the Red Devils are increasingly linked with a switch for former United youngster Paul Pogba.

The mercurial 23-year-old was allowed to leave United for Italy back in 2012 and would attract a hefty fee.

According to reports, United are now in advanced talks to bring Pogba back to the Old Trafford after the Euros, for a fee ranging from £60m to £85m.

Despite having a mixed tournament, the midfielder remains one of the hottest prospects in world football and registered 10 goals and 16 assists last term.

United are desperate for a marquee signing to accompany Ibrahimovic, and announce to the footballing world they are back as a superpower with the financial resources to blow others out the water.
