Coral’s rumour reel

Arsene Wenger already appears to be preparing for the upcoming winter window, with Andre Silva to Arsenal linked in today’s back pages.

The Gunners may be on a run of five straight league wins, but Wenger doesn’t seem content with his side as it stands, reportedly looking to bring in another striker.

Silva to Arsenal

Silva is in red hot form and has already netted five in seven league outings with Porto this term.

He also hit a hat-trick while on international duty with Portugal recently. According to reports, Arsenal are leading the pursuit of the 20-year-old as he begins to attract admiring glances from Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

Porto’s marksman reportedly caught the interest of Wenger while at the Under-20 World Cup last year, where he scored four.

Wenger currently only possesses two first-team strikers with the addition of Lucas Perez this summer, and will hope signing Silva can take the club to their first league title in 13 years.

Everton eye Neto raid

According to reports emerging from Italy, Everton are eyeing a Juventus raid for goalkeeper Neto.

The Toffees were described as the “absolute favourite” to sign the Juve keeper, but on a two-year loan deal.

Neto has reportedly pushed for a move away from the Old Lady for the past few windows and it now appears the Italians could be willing to see him leave.

Brazilian Neto is currently playing second fiddle to Gianluigi Buffon, and has only played 44 minutes of Serie A football this season and made nine appearances since he joined from Fiorentina in 2015.

Everton have failed to replace Tim Howard since his departure, with 34-year-old Maarten Stekelenburg now the Toffees’ starting goalie.

The cost of the proposed loan move is thought to be around €10m for two terms, as Juve see Neto as a potential successor to Buffon.

Red Devils in for wonderkid

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester Unitd are thought to have made contact with Valencia starlet Fran Villalba’s agent to discuss a potential move.

Valencia’s 18-year-old was given his La Liga debut in December last year during Gary Neville’s tenure in Spain, but is now playing for the club’s B team.

According to the player’s agent, United made their interest in the player clear and could trigger the teen’s €4m release clause in the coming months.

However, the central midfield Spaniard was born in Valencia and may be reluctant to move away from his home city at such a young age.
