Published:Coral’s rumour reel
The Premier League season has really heated up after a thrilling matchweek 11, with Liverpool now sitting pretty at the summit, while the chasing pack are right on the heels of Jurgen Klopp’s impressive Reds.
With proceedings reaching a crucial stage before the winter period, when many teams can endure slumps and potentially decisive dips in form, top-flight managers are looking ahead to the January transfer window and beyond for a boost.
This includes the likes of Everton, with Ronald Koeman reportedly keen to add a new striker to his ranks. So read on to see who the Toffees are chasing and who else is battling them for a top target’s signature.
Three-way tussle for Teodorczyk signing
Dynamo Kiev striker Lukasz Teodorczyk has found himself becoming hot property after an impressive season so far during a loan spell with Belgian giants Anderlecht.
The Poland international frontman is enjoying a rampant run of form in Belgium’s top-flight, having struck 14 times already since arriving at the Brussels-based club.
All of Everton, Sunderland and West Ham United are reportedly keen on landing the 25-year-old prolific Pole, whether paying to have his Anderlecht time cut short and sign him in January or agree a move for next summer.
The in-form attacker, who previously featured against Manchester City in the Champions League last 16 last campaign, and has also attracted the attention of AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, meaning the likes of Everton will need to be quick in overseeing a deal.
Malang Sarr attracting Gunners interest
From Belgium to France next, and talented young Nice centre back Malang Sarr has also been grabbing plenty of attention for his superb showings in Ligue 1 this current campaign.
Former Liverpool misfit Mario Balotelli is the player hitting the headlines for Nice with his incredible goal streak, but 17-year-old defensive prodigy Sarr is proving to be just as important in the rearguard.
The France Under-18 international was only promoted to the Nice first-team this year but his early promise has been recognised by Arsene Wenger, with Arsenal reportedly keeping tabs on his progress.
With immense power and great tactical awareness at such a young age, Nice are hoping to tie Sarr down to a new bumper contract, but the Gunners are looking for his signature.
