Rumour Reel: Walker and Rose to Man Utd while Hammers to pounce for Hart?

It’s here, the January window has flung open, bringing with it a fresh winter wind flowing with gossip. It appears Jose Mourinho is determined to strengthen his full back positions this month, with both Kyle Walker and Danny Rose to Manchester United linked on today’s back pages.
Converted to right back from the wing, Antonio Valencia has become a reliable performer for the Red Devils over this season, while left remains a problem position with Luke Shaw out due to injury.
Walker and Rose to Man Utd?
Mourinho is planning a sensational double deal for Spurs full backs Walker and Rose in a swoop that could cost upwards of £60m – reports suggest.
Widely regarded by many as the best right and left back combination in the league, the duo would surely present an upgrade on the makeshift defensive flanks United have had to patch together.
Valencia is by no way a specialist on the right, while on the other side of the back four an increasingly injured Shaw is struggling for fitness.
Both Walker and Rose recently signed new contracts at White Hart Lane. This, combined with Daniel Levy’s notoriously hard to negotiate with reputation, sees this double deal unlikely to be pulled off this month.
United and Tottenham are vying for Champions League football and will not sell to a direct rival midway through the season. However, the Lilywhites have somewhat of a track record of eventually selling their star men when big clubs come circling.
Hammers to pounce for Hart?
West Ham United are set to let Spaniard Adrian leave and replace him with England number one Joe Hart – according to reports.
Adrian, 30, has just six months left on his contract at the London Stadium and will be allowed to depart if an acceptable offer is received.
The Hammers are reportedly willing to cough up £15m to land Hart, currently on loan at Torino from Manchester City, and are not fazed by his rumoured £100k-a-week wages.
Chelsea’s Asmir Begovic and Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet are also thought to be targets.
