The summer transfer window officially opened on July 1st, and clubs have wasted no time chasing down their targets one by one as they look to complete some of their business while Euro 2016 reaches the latter rounds.

Hammers fancy Tevez return

Premier League outfit West Ham United have been linked with a sensational move to bring Carlos Tevez back to London. The Hammers have reportedly offered the Argentine £150,000 a-week to return to the club but have been left reeling by the forward’s wage demands.

The Boca Juniors man is reportedly demanding a whopping £250,000 per-week, which has Irons chairman David Sullivan eyeing AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca, who has a £24m release clause, if no progress is made with Tevez. Bacca scored 20 goals last term and would be an excellent addition to Slaven Bilic’s side, as West Ham move into the Olympic Stadium.

Sullivan said: “We tried to get Tevez but he wanted £250,000 a week. In his last year at Juventus he was great. But 250 grand a week? He’ll probably stay where he is now, but he doesn’t pay a lot of tax down there.”

Bournemouth eye Ibe

Bournemouth have reportedly launched a £15m bid with the aim of taking Liverpool’s Jordan Ibe to the south coast.

The 20-year-old is a target for the Cherries after creative force Matt Ritchie moved to Newcastle. Anfield’s hierarchy are now mulling over the proposal put forward by Bournemouth and could be about to accept.

Eddie Howe can offer Ibe regular first team football, while opportunities may be hard to come by under Jurgen Klopp, with new signing Saido Mane and Philippe Coutinho ahead of the England Under-21.

Joe Allen sparkled at Euro 2016 and could be another Reds player on the move this summer, with Sevilla’s sporting directer Monchi confirming interest in the Welsh midfielder. Christian Benteke, who joined Liverpool just a year ago for £32.5 million, could be moved on. Both Crystal Palace and West Ham are reportedly battling for his signature for a fee in the region of £30m.

Mourinho manoeuvring for Pogba

Hot on the heels of Jose Mourinho sealing his third summer signing, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Manchester United appear to be loosening the purse strings yet again by splurging £100m on Paul Pogba.

Reports coming out of Italy claim that United have agreed a deal in principle with Pogba on a move back to Manchester. According to the press, United will submit a world record bid after Euro 2016 finishes.

This would be a real statement signing for the Red devils and announce to the world they have unmatched financial power. Pogba recorded 10 goals and 16 assists in all competitions last year, and is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football.
