Coral’s rumour reel

Premier League transfer rumours are ripe after the season came to an end and, with Euro 2016 just around the corner this summer, many managers will be scrambling to get some early business sorted when the window opens on July 1st.

Berahino bound for Palace?

After suffering an extra-time defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup final, Crystal Palace are hoping to bolster their ranks this summer ahead of next season, and Eagles boss Alan Pardew is reportedly ready to join the race to capture West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino.

The Eagles are currently considering a £7m swoop for the former England Under-21 frontman, but they will face competition from both Watford and Stoke City for his services, though Pardew has been a long-time admirer of the forward since trying to sign him during his spell as Newcastle United coach.

Palace’s current strikeforce would look a lot more threatening with the addition of Berahino, potentially joining compatriots Dwight Gayle and Connor Wickham in attack, and the Baggies poacher is almost certain to depart The Hawthorns this summer as his current contract expires in 12 months.

Tony Pulis’ West Brom previously valued their striker at £25m but they will likely have to settle for a much lower sum this year in order to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Mourinho keen on Karim

Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Old Trafford is imminent after agreeing personal terms with the club, and reports have been circulating regarding his future summer signings when a deal is finalised.

Swedish sharpshooter Zlatan Ibrahimovic is heavily linked with a free switch to the Red Devils for a reunion with his former Inter Milan boss Mourinho, though Karim Benzema is the latest hitman to be tipped for a move to the red half of Manchester.

The French forward will miss out on Euro 2016 but is supposedly seen as an ideal candidate by Mourinho to boost Man Utd’s attacking ranks, having worked together at Real Madrid previously and winning two La Liga titles.

Los Blancos’ 28-year-old frontman has struck 30 times in all competitions this campaign so far and will hope to add to that tally when contesting bitter city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final this Saturday evening.

Sunderland stalking Ghezzal swoop

Following a successful survival battle in the Premier League, Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland will look to strengthen in a bid to avoid a similar campaign of fighting relegation next season.

To do so, the Black Cats are aiming to secure the signing of Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, with the 24-year-old French-born Algerian attacker having only one more year remaining on his current contract.

Ghezzal netted eight goals in 36 games last term for the Ligue 1 outfit and is reportedly being monitored by clubs in La Liga too, with the four-cap Algeria wideman believed to be seeking a new challenge outside of France’s top tier.
