The summer transfer window officially opened on July 1st, and clubs have wasted no time chasing down their targets one by one, as they look to complete some of their business with the upcoming Premier League campaign fast approaching.

Conte keen on Cavani

Chelsea have reportedly launched a £41.5m bid for PSG star man Edinson Cavani. New Blues boss Antonio Conte is believed to be in the market for another striker, despite adding Michy Batshuayi to their ranks, as Diego Costa looks seemingly certain to leave.

The Stamford Bridge side have already seen a £63m bid for Alvaro Morata rebuffed by Real Madrid, according to outlets in Spain.

Reports in France indicate Cavani is keen to leave Paris this summer, but new PSG boss Unai Emery should be hopeful of keeping the marksman and is under no pressure to sell.

Boufal beckons for Hornets

Watford are reportedly attempting to seal a deal to pip their rivals for highly-rated prospect Sofiane Boufal.

The Lille man’s representatives have held talks with Watford over a rumoured £18m move for the Moroccan, with the discussions understood to have taken place in Austria where the Hornets are on pre-season tour.

Boufal has apparently been on the radar of top clubs for some time now, including Chelsea and Tottenham and Italian giants Juventus. However, it appears Watford are currently pushing to the front of the queue.

The Moroccan scored 12 goals last term in all competitions, before his season ended early in May due to injury.

Baggies seek Schlupp

Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion are refusing to give up on their hunt for Leicester City’s Jeffrey Schlupp. Baggies boss Tony Pulis is contemplating a fresh bid for the versatile Premier League winner, after having a £9m opening offer rebuffed.

Schlupp was a useful component in Leicester’s shock title win last term, and the 23 year-old can play left back or left wing. The Ghanaian international was sporadically involved in Claudio Ranieri’s side, so Schlupp could be keen on regular first team football without having to drop down a division.
