West Ham want Fellaini

Coral’s rumour reel

With the January transfer window just around the corner, Premier League managers are swiftly trying to sort some business ahead of what could be a busy winter period.

This includes West Ham United, with Slaven Bilic hoping to oversee some new arrivals to improve their season drastically, while Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are also reportedly keen to strengthen in the coming months.

So read on to find out who is going where in Coral’s rumour reel for December 7th…

West Ham want Fellaini?

Having struggled so far this Premier League campaign, West Ham are aiming to bolster their squad ahead of the second half of the season by adding Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini to their ranks.

The Belgium international caused a stir among Red Devils fans last time out against his former side Everton, coming on as a substitute for Jose Mourinho and giving away a last-gasp penalty which was converted to hold them to a 1-1 draw.

Relegation-threatened West Ham are looking to end Fellaini’s Old Trafford stint in January, as Bilic believes the 29-year-old could boost his side in their bid to bounce back strongly domestically.

A big stumbling block could be Fellaini’s wages, though, and whether Mourinho can cover the Belgian’s spot in the market. Although, the towering Red Devils midfielder could soon be making a switch from Manchester to the blue half of Merseyside.

Chelsea battle Milan for Badelj signing

Chelsea are another top-flight outfit aiming to land a midfielder in the January transfer window, as the Blues attempt to beat Italian side AC Milan to the signing of Milan Badelj.

The Fiorentina ace is into the final 18 months of his contract with the Viola and is reportedly refusing to put pen to paper on an extension to the club.

Croatia international Badelj could potentially be snapped up for as little as £7m, and Chelsea are keen to pounce on that price in order to bolster their ranks as they look to continue their top tier title challenge.

They will need to be quick, though, as AC Milan are set to be handed a £90m war chest from new incoming Chinese owners, but the Blues are confident of pipping them to Badelj’s signature.
