Ruby Walsh odds-on to make Vautour his Gold Cup mount

With owner Rich Ricci confirming his Vautour will run in the Gold Cup or not appear at all at this month’s Cheltenham Festival, Coral make Ruby Walsh 2-5 to be on board last year’s runaway JLT Novices’ Chase winner in the Blue Riband, and 7-4 that he sticks with Djakadam, runner-up behind Coneygree twelve months ago.
Another jockey who could face a Gold Cup dilemma is Gigginstown’s retained rider Bryan Cooper, and Coral go 4-6 that he chooses Don Poli, and 11-10 he partners Don Cossack.
“Both Ruby Walsh and Bryan Cooper could face the sort of high class problem any of their rivals would welcome when it comes to picking their Gold Cup mounts, as their potential rides dominate the latest ante-post betting on the race,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
