Ronaldo to Juventus might actually be about to happen

Is Ronnie about to call time on Madrid?
A number of reports are claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to join Juventus in a £88m deal.
The majority of this summer’s transfer focus has been on Neymar and his potential move to Real Madrid.
That transfer threatened to have repercussions for Ronaldo, and it looks like the Portugal star is going to quit the Spanish capital anyway.
It’s an awkward time for Ronnie and Real. He’s been their talisman and global icon for nine years, but will turn 34-years-old in February.
Real have been seeking and courting his successor for some time. Neymar has been targeted, but so too has French wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.
And it’s been reported that Real’s focus on their new talisman has forced Ronaldo to cut ties.
The former Manchester United striker may be tempted by a new league, having won everything there is to win in Spain.
Juventus haven’t won the Champions League since 1996, and may see Ronaldo as the man to end their continental drought.
It’s believed Juve are increasingly confident that they can pull off the deal, in what would be the transfer of the summer.
Ronaldo has been offered a reported £26.5m annual salary to move to Turin.
And should it go ahead, then a domino effect could be in play. Real would be free to ramp up their pursuit of Neymar or Mbappe.
Equally, it could also see Juve sell one of Mario Mandzukic or Gonzalo Higuain.
Ronaldo is Real Madrid’s record goalscorer, with 450 strikes in just 438 games. He’s won two La Liga titles and four Champions League with Los Blancos since joining from Man United for £80m in 2009.
