Road to Cheltenham: Tritonic puts down strong Triumph marker after Adonis win

Our man John Hill looks at the latest market movers ahead of Cheltenham Festival
We are just over two weeks away from the Cheltenham Festival now and there were further clues last weekend about the big meeting later this month.
Arguably the most impressive winner over the weekend came on Saturday at Kempton when Tritonic justified favouritism to claim the Adonis Hurdle in impressive style. Alan King’s novice is now 7/2 (from 10/1) for the Triumph Hurdle. He is second best in the market behind Zanahiyr.
Over in Ireland yesterday (Sunday 28th February), Gerri Colombe made it two wins from two under rules for Gordon Elliott. He has been cut to 8/1 (from 10/1) for the Champion Bumper. The Irish horse picked up nicely in the closing stages of his race at Naas.
Zoffanien has been trimmed to 16/1 (from 25/1) for the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle, a race which takes place on Day One of the meeting. He prevailed by nine lengths at Naas in an eye-catching display.
There was also success in Ireland for Cilaos Emery. He is entered in the Champion Chase and Ryanair Chase at the Festival where he is 20/1 and 33/1 respectively for these two races.
