Barcelona cut to 6/5 to defend their title

Real Madrid are the 8/13 favourites to win the 2019/20 La Liga title after jumping Barcelona as the league leaders with only eight matches remaining.

Barcelona have won the league for the last two seasons, but a 0-0 draw against Sevilla on Friday allowed Real Madrid the opportunity to overtake them in the La Liga table.

A 2-1 win against Real Sociedad, thanks to goals from Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema, meant Zinedine Zidane’s mean climbed above the Catalan side, pushing Barcelona to 6/5 to retain their crown for a third successive season.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Madrid are now odds-on for their first La Liga title since 2017 after their weekend victory over Sociedad saw them hit the front with just eight games to go. For the first time in a long, long time Barcelona will have to upset the odds to reign again.”
