The racing world may have one eye firmly on next week’sCheltenham Festival but there’s still plenty of action to get excited aboutthis weekend.

ITV Racing are on the move once again and they’re sendingtheir teams to cover the best races at Wolverhampton and Ayr.

With six races on offer on ITV from 13:00, we’ve previewedthe best of the action…

Via Serendipity – 13:35 Wolverhampton

Renewing his rivalry with Fox Power, Via Serendipity is targetinga second successive win at Wolverhampton. The six-year-old won by half a lengthlast month after biding his time to overtake towards the finish.

Fox Power leads the betting as favourite but Via Serendipitywill be looking to get off to a good start on his first ride under Silvestre DeSousa.

With two wins and a second place in his last four races, trainerStuart Williams will be confident of Via Serendipity hacking up for the fourthtime in his 10 all-weather outings.

Calle Malva – 14:30 Ayr

Expectations were high of Calle Malva in her last ride atAyr and she led early before pulling up. She returns to Scotland and acomfortable start could lead to a second career win in just her fourth race.

Calle Malva is enjoying some stability having been ridden byBlair Campbell in her last three outings, including in December when shecrossed the line first by a quarter of a length at Hexham.

But she’ll face stiff competition from Jessiemac, who’srecorded two wins and a second in her last three rides.

Urban Icon – 14:45 Wolverhampton

Perhaps a left-field choice considering Urban Icon hasn’twon a race since 2018. But he’ll be fit and raring to go having not ridden competitivelysince last July.

He’ll face a strong field in the Lady Wulfruna Stakes butunder the guidance of Ryan Moore, he should fare better.

Moore is targeting his third win in the race having riddenSecond Thought to glory in 2018.
