Former Newcastle star could be Midlands-bound

Hatem Ben Arfa has been cut into 11/8 from 6/1 by Coral to join Leicester City.

Traders took a flurry of bets on the France international moving to the Foxes this afternoon.

The Paris Saint-Germain winger has been frozen out at the Parc Des Princes and could be set for a return to the Premier League.

Ben Arfa starred for Foxes boss Claude Puel previously at Nice and is said to be open to a reunion with his fellow Frenchman.

Coral’s John Hill said: “This latest gamble suggests Hatem Ben Arfa could be heading back to the Premier League to join Leicester.

Punters have been knocking us over this afternoon to back to the Frenchman to sign for the Foxes.”

The former Newcastle United wide forward could be a possible replacement for Riyad Mahrez.

The Algerian ace has handed in a transfer request at the King Power Stadium amid interest for Manchester City.

Mahrez is just 1/10 to join Pep Guardiola’s squad.
