Premier League: WBA welcome Everton as Lukaku returns

Published:

Everton are 6/4 with Coral to beat West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns and Roberto Martinez’ men have been going well so far this season.

Just four points off the top four, they have been hard to beat; something they have shown in goalless draws away at Tottenham and Swansea City, while sandwiched in between that was a comprehensive 3-1 over Chelsea at Goodison Park.

However, last time out, in the Capital One Cup, the Toffees returned to scoring ways, beating Reading 2-1, with Ross Barkley and Gerard Deulofeu both getting on the scoresheet. The duo are 5/1 and 10/3 respectively in the anytime market.

The former has been a standout player in the Premier League so far this season, with most of the play going through Barkley.

Romelu Lukaku, who spent a season on loan at The Hawthorns, has also looked in the mood so far this campaign and having netted first against the Baggies in this fixture last term as the Toffees ran out 2-0 winners.

The Belgian is 5/1 to break the deadlock, while Steven Naismith who hit a hat-trick against Chelsea, is 9/1 to score two or more.

For Tony Pulis’ side, want-away striker Saido Berahino made up for his actions in the summer, as he scored the winner against fierce rivals Aston Villa last time out in the league, and he is good value at 6/4 in the anytime market to net.

New signing Jose Salomon Rondon has also opened his account this term, striking in the 1-0 win over Stoke City and he is 6/1 to open the scoring. There is the potential for a very promising partnership between himself and Berahino, which could cause many defences problems, with the attacking duo blessed with pace and goalscoring instinct.

With Arsenal loanee Serge Gnabry also providing guile from out wide, West Brom have a good supply line, though against a strong Everton side, it could be an uphill battle.

Coral’s top tip: Lukaku looks superb value to come back and haunt his former club by scoring first at 5/1.
