Spurs sharp ahead of Monday night melee

Spurs, meanwhile, have been going from strength to strength in the top-flight since their opening day defeat to Manchester United and have not lost in the league following that September scuffle.
With that in mind, Maurico Pochettino’s marauding men are superb at 7/2 in a match special (max stake £20) to heap more misery on their Midlands guests and win by three or more.
The capital club have kept five clean sheets from their last seven games against the Villans, so are also tempting at 5/4 to win to nil again, especially as visiting Villa have netted just nine times this term.
Harry Kane keen to crack on

The England international notched a heroic hat-trick last time out against Bournemouth, as Tottenham trounced their south coast hosts 5-1. So, customers can back Kane in a 5/1 match special (max stake £20) to bag a brace or better again, or at 3/1 to poach first.
Speaking of his striker’s scoring comeback, Pochettino told press: “When you are a striker and you are scoring goals, everything is nice and the sun is always shining – but when you stop scoring, everything is always dark.
“When things in football are good or bad, it is important to keep working hard and that was the key for him to start scoring again.”
Potent playmaker Christian Eriksen pulled the strings in that deadly demolishing of the Cherries, and is 5/1 to finish the scoring at White Hart Lane, while revived Argentine attacker Erik Lamela (7/4 to strike anytime) has also proven lethal of late.
Aston Villa on the edge

Now without a win in six, the Villans are 7/2 to pick up a point. Though, as they have tasted top-flight triumph just once this term, look unlikely to split the spoils here.
Interim coach Kevin MacDonald could be without potentially suspended defender Micah Richards, but should welcome fellow centre half Joleon Lescott back into the fold.
Ahead of the Monday night match, MacDonald spoke of his side’s determination, stating: “Players do worry about where they are. There is no divine right to stay in the Premier League. We start again. This is our first game of the season.
“The pride of the players is hurt because we’re bottom of the league. But they are determined.”
Frontman Rudy Gestede and rampant winger Scott Sinclair are the guests’ best chance of grabbing goals, at 9/4 and 10/3 to notch anytime respectively.
