The race for the Premier League Golden Boot is already well underway and, if you thought last season’s battle was brutal, it looks like there can be no slip-ups in the contest this campaign with three lethal predators already off to a barnstorming start.

Firing on all cylinders for top-flight title contenders are Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Diego Costa (Chelsea) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United) and we have created a special match bet market between the three.

Rather than have them compete against every player in the league, we have odds on who will score more out of three at Coral. Aguero is the current favourite at 10/11, with Ibrahimovic closely behind at 6/4 and Costa the outsider at 4/1.

So, in what looks set to be a three-way race, which poacher will you plump for? Coral experts present the prices and the arguments for each, but we’ll let you decide…

Sergio Aguero

Having started the season on fire, Sergio Aguero odds of 9/4 already make him the clear market leader in the Premier League top scorer betting after only a couple of matches, and we can certainly see why.

Aguero opened his account for this season versus Sunderland but also delivered a deadly double against Stoke City, and it is obvious that the electric attacker is relishing playing in new coach Pep Guardiola’s system.

Surrounded by top quality support acts in every direction with Raheem Sterling and Nolito to dove-tail with up top, and Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva replenishing the supply lines behind, ‘Kun’ has been gobbling up chances galore.

To boot, as the skillful striker has top scored in the Premier League before (2014/15) and came just one goal shy in joint-second place last season, those Aguero odds look too good to miss.

Diego Costa

Diego Costa bets have been popular with punters since the Brazilian-born Spain striker joined Chelsea after the 2014 World Cup, dispatching 20 in his maiden campaign.

A previous Copa del Rey top scorer, Costa is another big name who knows what it takes to get ahead of his rivals.

While it is true that the ex-Atletico Madrid striker had an off season at Stamford Bridge last term, it now looks like business as usual again.

The lethal marksman appears as though he can thrive again under new tactician Antonio Conte, with the prospect of a front two partnership with Michy Batshuayi further down the road fearsome.

It’s two in two for the refreshed Roja international, who is once again the focal point of his team, meaning latest Diego Costa bets which have him at 10/1 in the Premier League top scorer betting could bring real value.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic tips have come left, right and centre since the Swedish superstar signed on a free transfer for Man Utd this summer, and he’s already proven an instant hit and impact signing with four in three games across all competitions.

Can the new boy outscore Aguero and Costa this season? In this elite scorer shootout Ibrahimovic already drew first blood, as he got off the Premier League mark at Bournemouth with a long-range stunner, followed by a brilliant brace against Southampton.

It looks as though Jose Mourinho’s man will also be on penalty duty for the Red Devils ahead of usual spot-kick taker Wayne Rooney, and should also be a frequent free-kick taker, increasing his chances of totting up that tally.

Of course not just a dead-ball specialist, acrobatic Ibrahimovic can grab goals from any angle, even when it looks impossible. Coming off a final season with PSG in which he struck 38 times in 31 Ligue 1 games, latest Ibrahimovic tips put the Swede at a tasty 4/1 to be Premier League top scorer.

Consider that the towering Ibrahimovic has already claimed the Golden Boot in Serie A and Ligue 1 and it looks like you could be onto a winner.

So, who do you think will score more goals out of the above three strikers? Luckily, we’ve got a special market just for that, so head over to Coral and back your selection!
