Premier League tips for matchweek 16
The congested Christmas fixture pile-up is fantastic news for football fans as it means more midweek matches across December 13-14, with festive frays taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday to tide viewers over until the weekend. So, if Palace v Man Utd odds and Everton v Arsenal bets tickle your fancy, our Premier League tips for matchweek 16 are for you!
So, it’s time to cover your TV in tinsel, get the eggnog brewing and warm a mince pie or two to get in the mood for some more PL winter wrangles. While, we’ve also got a recommended acca below too, which could see you line your pockets for some last-dash Christmas shopping…
Arsenal to beat Everton and over 3.5 goals
Our handpicked punt for Tuesday’s televised dust-up is an appealing price of 15/4 for Arsenal to defeat out-of-sorts Everton and over 3.5 goals scored in the game.

The Toffees are in a sticky situation, with no win from their last five and 10 goals leaked across that time frame, so the last opponents they’d want to face right now are surely the goal-grabbing Gunners.
Arsenal have hit the onion bag 12 times in their past three outings across all competitions, with Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and co firing their team to the top of the PL table on goals scored. So, it doesn’t look promising for Ronald Koeman’s guys.
Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals as West Ham battle Burnley
Across the weekend, both West Ham United and Burnley were involved in thrilling fixtures, with Slaven Bilic’s boys picking up a point after a 2-2 draw at Anfield. While, the Clarets conquered Bournemouth 3-2 with some stunning goals on show.

Lancashire club Burnley have not kept a clean sheet since October with 12 conceded across their last five. While, the art of defending has also been lost on the Hammers, who similarly have not managed a shut-out since the end of autumn, shipping 15 from their previous five in all comps.
Clearly able to hit the target at the other end though, we reckon both teams to bag and over 2.5 goals is value at 13/10.
Man Utd to win to nil
Manchester United have some momentum about them now, having overcome a mental obstacle by holding onto a lead against Spurs. Next up are Crystal Palace in Wednesday’s silver screen showing.
The Red Devils were impressive and their counter-attack can find joy again at Selhurst Park, where Jose Mourinho’s men are 19/10 for a win to nil.

The Eagles have shown they can score against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City, but are up against a tighter ship here. United have shut out Palace in five of their last six league meetings, and the Red Devils enter this clash with two clean sheets in a row behind them.
That unlikely pairing of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo continues to improve and can snuff out the Londoners’ threats.
Sofiane Boufal first away team scorer
Sticking with Wednesday duels, Southampton travel to Stoke City after overcoming Middlesbrough thanks to the attacking exploits of star-in-the-making Sofiane Boufal, who is beginning to settle at St Mary’s after injury disrupted his summer switch.

The highly-rated young Morocco wingman broke his duck to beat Boro and can use that as a springboard for more Saints success. With Charlie Austin out injured, the south coast side will require Boufal’s brilliance against a Potters contingent missing number one Jack Butland and with all of defenders Glen Johnson, Ryan Shawcross, Marc Muniesa, Geoff Cameron and Phil Bardsley either due to be absent or at least a doubt.
Boufal, a regular goal threat for Lille before his move, is therefore a tasty bet to back at 7/2 to be first away team scorer.
