Coral’s rumour reel

Transfer speculation is still rife despite the summer window having shut and the new season in full flow, but Premier League clubs are still looking ahead and planning potential business for January and beyond.

Liverpool target Pulisic

One such side are Liverpool, with German coach Jurgen Klopp ready to raid his former employers Borussia Dortmund for their latest promising talent, 17-year-old United States international Christian Pulisic.

The teenager, reportedly a Manchester United fan, was previously the subject of an £11m bid in August but it was one that the Black and Yellows rejected, though the Reds are now hopeful of landing their long-term target in January.

Pulisic recently starred in Dortmund’s 6-0 Champions League thrashing of Legia Warsaw, starting on the right flank on what was his European debut and grabbed an assist for the fifth strike, setting up Gonzalo Castro with a perfectly weighted, left-footed delivery.

After an impressive maiden appearance of the current campaign, Liverpool target Pulisic will undoubtedly be high on the Anfield outfit’s list of priorities in the winter window as Klopp seeks another attacking boost.

Man Utd still hold Rodriguez interest

Man Utd have long been linked with Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez and they are once again tipped to land the Bernabeu attacker next year, with Jose Mourinho still keen on acquiring his services.

The Red Devils seem to lack a decisive passer to help Zlatan Ibrahimovic and co going forward, despite the signings of Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer, and the Portuguese tactician may delve into the market for a player at his former club.

Los Blancos attacking midfielder Rodriguez has become somewhat of a bit-part player under Zinedine Zidane and looked destined to depart in the summer, but Man Utd could capitalise on the Frenchman’s unwillingness to feature the Colombian international regularly.

The 25-year-old has been limited to just four outings this season so far, with all of them coming off the bench, and he may be keen on reviving his form and fortunes next year, with Old Trafford a potential destination.

Everton enter race for Kastanos

Over to the blue half of Merseyside now, and Ronald Koeman’s Everton are reportedly ready to rival Man Utd for the signature of Juventus starlet and Cyprus international midfielder Grigoris Kastanos.

The 18-year-old talent has caught the eye of the Red Devils in recent months, but the Toffees are now keen on securing the Old Lady prospect’s services swiftly.

Dutchman Koeman will be aiming to make up for a poor summer transfer window in January and he will hope to acquire Kastanos, with the offer of first-team action being his key bargaining tool.

The Cypriot is yet to make a senior appearance in Turin but is seen as one of their young prized assets, though Everton are seemingly unfazed by the substantial £17m asking price.
