Premier League Saturday 3pm kick-offs
The Premier League returns following midweek European action, and Coral preview three Saturday 3pm fixtures, all of whom could be potential relegation battlers near the end of the season.
Stoke City are at home to newly-promoted Watford, play-off winners Norwich City host West Bromwich Albion while form-lacking Aston Villa entertain Swansea City.
Stoke v Watford
- Premier League
- Saturday, October 24th
- Kick-off: 15:00 BST
- Britannia Stadium, Stoke
This will be the two teams’ first meeting since the 2007/08 Championship season, but this fixture rarely sees goals.
In five of the last six head-to-heads, not including Watford’s anomaly 3-0 away win in 2005, just three strikes have been seen, therefore take tempting odds of 17/10 for the match total to be under 1.5. The last two duels in fact, finished 0-0, so odds of 7/1 are available for that scoreline once more.
Stoke, though, are in good form of late, after a poor start to the season, having won their last three in the league, which is why they are the 21/20 favourites to beat Watford (11/4).
Mame Biram Diouf and Jon Walters have got most of the Potters’ goals this term, with three apiece, and are both 6/4 shouts to net anytime here. Odion Ighalo has five of the Hornets’ six strikes this term and is a 7/4 chance.
Norwich v West Brom
- Premier League
- Saturday, October 24th
- Kick-off: 15:00 BST
- Carrow Road, Norwich
The Canaries have got the better of West Brom in recent clashes, winning five of the last seven, and are therefore even-money favourites.
Tony Pulis’ men (14/5), though, triumphed last time out against Sunderland to spoil Sam Allardyce’s debut, while Norwich haven’t tasted victory in their last four, losing the previous two.
Despite his early season troubles, Saido Berahino has managed three goals for the Baggies so far, and is an enticing 7/4 chance to score anytime again. For Norwich, Nathan Redmond has found the net four times, and is 15/8 in the same market.
Aston Villa v Swansea
- Premier League
- Saturday, October 24th
- Kick-off: 15:00 BST
- Villa Park, Birmingham
Swansea have loved playing Villa in recent seasons, having won the last three and are undefeated against them in five. With the hosts in dire form, losing their last five in the league, back Garry Monk’s men for victory at 13/8.
Although the Villans (15/8 shouts) have lacked points, Rudy Gestede and Scott Sinclair have managed nine goals between them and are respective 7/4 and 2/1 chances to score anytime.
Summer signing Andre Ayew (7/4) and Bafetimbi Gomis (6/5) have four strikes apiece, while the former could be up against his brother Jordan, who is a 2/1 shout.
