Odds and preview on today’s Premier League action

It’s the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season, and there are still crucial games at both ends of the table.

AFC Bournemouth host Tottenham Hotspur in the early game, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side knowing three points will secure Champions League football next season.

Cardiff City play Crystal Palace in South Wales with only three points good enough to keep their Premier League dreams alive, before Liverpool travel to St James’ Park hoping to keep their title aspirations on track against Newcastle United.

Before the action gets underway, we’ve got the odds and previews for all five Premier League matches…

AFC Bournemouth v Tottenham Hotspur (12:30pm)

Spurs suffered midweek disappointment in their Champions League semi-final against Ajax, but Pochettino will hope to motivate his side to secure their spot in next season’s competition on the South Coast.

The North Londoners have an impressive record over Bournemouth, winning six of the eight games they’ve played, including the last four. They’ve never lost a Premier League game against the Cherries.

Pochettino’s side are odds on for the win at the Vitality Stadium, priced at 17/20, though on their day, Bournemouth provide a stern test and could upset the odds to pick up the three points at 14/5.

Spurs thrashed the Cherries 5-0 in December, and while a repeat of that scoreline is unlikely at 80/1, the Lilywhites are 11/4 to Win to Nil.

Callum Wilson is the South Coast sides’ danger man, with him being 9/2 to open the scoring, or 6/4 to grab a goal anytime.

Son Heung-min still leads the line for Spurs in Harry Kane’s absence. The South Korean star is 7/2 to score first, or there’s 23/20 about him scoring anytime.

West Ham United v Southampton

After picking up a point in their 3-3 draw with South Coast rivals Bournemouth last time out, Southampton secured their Premier League future for at least another season.

West Ham have slipped out of the top half after to their run of three successive defeats, but their shock 1-0 win away to Spurs could be the confidence boost needed to end the season strong.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are favourites to secure three more points at the London Stadium at 5/4, but Southampton will look to build on their survival and push on for next season. They’re 2/1 to win.

West Ham have won their last two against the Saints, including a 2-1 win at St Mary’s in December thanks to two quick-fire Felipe Anderson strikes. The Brazilian winger has been a revelation for the Hammers this term, and is 12/1 to bag two or more this time around.

Shane Long netted the fastest Premier League goal ever against Watford, and he’s 11/2 to break the deadlock at the London Stadium. The Irishman is 2/1 to score anytime.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Fulham

Since Fulham’s relegation back to the Championship was confirmed, their form has picked up drastically. They’re only behind title contenders Manchester City and Liverpool in the form guides, winning their last three.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are the best of the rest in the league at present, and will secure seventh place and a potential European tour next season if they beat Fulham and Leicester drop points against Manchester City.

The pair played out a draw in the first fixture, and a repeat of that is 3/1. Wolves are the odds-on favourites to win at Molineux at 8/15, but Fulham’s form suggests it could be tricky. The Cottagers are 5/1 for three points.

Diogo Jota is in red-hot form again, scoring in his last two against Arsenal and Watford. He’s 7/2 to score first, and you can find 7/5 on him scoring anytime.

Mexican frontman Raul Jimenez is favourite to score first at 16/5.

Ryan Babel has led Fulham’s charge late in the season. He’s 11/2 to open the scoring, or an 11/5 Fulham favourite to score anytime.

Cardiff City v Crystal Palace (5:30pm)

Cardiff City’s Premier League future could be determined this weekend, with only three points against Crystal Palace giving them a fighting chance of survival.

Roy Hodgson’s Palace side are set for yet another mid-table finish, with six points from their last two games only able to elevate them up to 11th, depending on West Ham’s results.

In a very tight match, there’s no overriding favourite to win. Cardiff know they have to win, and Neil Warnock’s side have the extra motivation for this game. They’re slight favourites at 13/8 to win. The Eagles are a shade out at 33/20 to gain three points.

Victor Camarasa is the Bluebird’s top scorer this season with five league goals. He’s 12/5 anytime to add to that tally. Bobby Reid is the favourite to break the deadlock for Cardiff. That’s 9/2, with a goal anytime 15/8.

Wilfried Zaha is the star man for Palace. He’s 11/2 to open the scoring, or you can find 21/10 on a goal anytime.

Fancy Palace to get a penalty? Luka Milivojevic takes the spot kicks for the South-East London side and he’s 23/10 to score anytime.

Newcastle United v Liverpool (7:45pm)

Like Spurs, Liverpool suffered midweek disappointment in their Champions League match with Barcelona. Despite a fantastic away performance, they fell to a 3-0 defeat.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will have shifted focus immediately to their Premier League title fight, and another tricky away day at St James’ Park to face former boss Rafa Benitez and his Newcastle United side.

The Reds are odds on to pick up another crucial three points at 1/3, with the Magpies the 17/2 underdogs to win at home.

If Liverpool drop points against Newcastle, it gives Manchester City the chance to virtually seal the Premier League title on Monday night against Leicester City. With that said, the draw is 4/1.

Liverpool won 4-0 in the fixture in December, but Newcastle have shored up their defence since then. A repeat of that scoreline is 14/1.

Mohamed Salah is fighting for his second successive Premier League Golden Boot. He’s 16/5 to score first, or 11/10 to add to his tally anytime.

Ayoze Perez is the man in-form for the Magpies, scoring five in his last three matches. He’s 3/1 to score anytime.
