Premier League betting tips: Best bets for the TV fixtures
Published:Premier League betting tips and predictions
There is one more round of fixtures before Christmas and there are five included in our latest Premier League betting tips.
There are televised matches on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend and we have picked out the best bets for all five games which are being broadcast live.
We also have football accumulator tips from Saturday’s 3pm kick-offs in the EFL.
Crystal Palace v Brighton (Thu, 8pm)
We rightly suggested that Liverpool would have to wait until the second half to come good at Selhurst Park recently and are sticking with a similar theme for Brighton’s trip to the same ground.
Palace’s eight home games this season have incredibly produced just three first-half goals compared to 16 after the break, while seven of the eight have seen the teams go in at half-time on level terms.
Four of the last six meetings between these rivals have also been drawn so 33/20 for a goalless first half kicks off our Premier League betting tips.
Aston Villa v Sheffield United (Fri, 8pm)
Villa continue to enjoy a perfect home record after beating Manchester City and Arsenal so it is little wonder that bottom side Sheffield United are 14/1 to end that run with a win at Villa Park.
The Blades have only picked up one point on their travels since returning to the Premier League, while Villa have scored 10 goals without reply in the first half at home so Coral’s Odds Booster of 29/10 for the hosts to be leading after 15 minutes holds some appeal.
West Ham v Manchester United (Sat, 12.30pm)
West Ham’s defence was torn apart by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night but they should have more luck against a United team which has failed to score in the last three games in all competitions.
Recent meetings between these teams have been cagey affairs, with under 1.5 goals paying out in six of the last eight in all competitions. That is available at 13/4 but we’ll settle for under 2.5 at 23/20.
Liverpool v Arsenal (Sat, 5.30pm)
The pick of the Premier League fixtures this weekend, and possibly of the season so far, sees the top two meet at Anfield. Liverpool remain unbeaten on home soil, although their 100 per cent record was ended by a goalless draw with Manchester United last weekend.
Picking a winner is tough given the form of both teams and backing goals looks the safer play. The Reds came from 2-0 down to rescue a 2-2 draw in this fixture in April while Arsenal won a thriller 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
Over 2.5 goals is 4/6 but that rises to 7/4 if combined with Mo Salah to have three or more shots. The Egyptian has had 15 shots in his last four league games and ranks second behind Erling Haaland with 53 over the season so far.
Wolves v Chelsea (Sun, 1pm)
Wolves start the day just three points behind Chelsea and with home advantage, they look good value for victory on Christmas Eve.
Gary O’Neil’s men are unbeaten in six games at Molineux, including victories over Manchester City, Tottenham and Burnley, while Chelsea have lost three in a row on their travels so look too short as odds-on favourites.
For the last of our Premier League betting tips this weekend, we’re backing a Wolves win at 29/10.
