Postponed cut for King George repeat as confidence grows

Coral has cut Postponed to 8-15 (from 8-13) favourite for back-to-back victories in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (sponsored by QIPCO), following further support for the Roger Varian-trained horse today.  Coral-Eclipse winner Hawkbill – who would need to be supplemented for the Ascot race – is 7-1 second favourite, ahead of Highland Reel and Wings Of Desire, both 8-1.

“With punters willing to back Postponed at odds-on, there is clearly plenty of confidence behind his bid for a second King George victory, and with current second favourite Hawkbill far from certain to be added to the Ascot field this week, it would be no surprise to see the favourite shorten further before Saturday,” reckoned Coral’s David Stevens.
