Copa America 2021 reaches a climax with the Brazil v Argentina final on Sunday, but before that there is a fascinating third-place play-off and we have taken a look at some Peru v Colombia betting tips.
Colombia, winners in 2001, take on six-time champions Peru in at the Estádio Nacional de Brasília in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Colombia were heavily fancied coming into the tournament, but although reaching the semi-finals, they under-performed and managed one win, two draws and a defeat in qualifying third in Group B behind Brazil.
Their lack of goals – just four in six games – ultimately cost Reinaldo Rueda’s any chance of adding to their sole Copa America title.
After an opening 1-0 win over Ecuador, they drew 0-0 with Venezuela and suffered 2-1 defeats at the hands of play-off opponents Peru and Brazil.
Having reached the semi-final, winning a penalty shoot-out with Uruguay after a goalless draw, they fell 3-2 on penalties to Argentina, after coming from behind to draw 1-1 in 90 minutes.
Colombia have lost just three of their last 24 meetings with Peru and are 17/20 favourites to win inside 90 minutes, and 1/2 to finish as the competition’s third-placed team.
Peru, Copa America runners-up in 2019, recovered from an opening 4-0 defeat against Brazil by beating Colombia and Venezuela, and securing a draw with Ecuador to finish runners-up in Group B.
They reached the semi-final by downing Paraguay on penalties after a 3-3 draw, a game in which top scorer Andre Carillo was dismissed for a second bookable offense. He will miss this clash through suspension.
Peru, who have failed to score in nine of their last 11 meetings with Colombia, are the underdogs at 7/2 to record their first back-to-back victory over Los Cafeteros since 1997, and 6/4 to finish as the third-placed team.

The teams have faced each other 68 times across all competitions since 1938, with Colombia recording 26 wins over la Blanquirroja, although they have failed to do so on the last five occasions they have met in the Copa America (L2 D3).
Peru have beaten Colombia on 19 occasions, including their recent Group B clash, where Sergio Peña’s early strike was cancelled out by Colombian striker Miguel Borja’s second-half penalty, only for Yerry Mina to put through his own net and hand Peru a 2-1 victory.
There have been 23 draws, including four in the last nine meetings. It is 5/2 that the game ends all square after 90 minutes this time.
This is traditionally a fixture that has produced few goals. Only three of the last 15 meetings have featured more than two goals, although the last two meetings bucked the trend.

Peru coach Ricardo Gareca may have a longer look at the likes of youngsters Marcos Lopez, Jhilmar Lora and Martin Tavara as he looks to build competition for places ahead of the World Cup next year.
Raziel Garcia made an impact on the left of midfield when he came on against Brazil and will likely start.
Colombia midfielders Mateus Uribe and Yairo Moreno may both return to a full-strength squad after missing the semi-final through injury.
It seems likely that Rangers striker Alfredo Morales, whose tournament has been restricted to a 10-minute cameo, will not see extended action, if any.
Key battles
Peru are a well-coached side but without star performer Carrillo, Gianluca Lapadula looked isolated up front against Brazil until Gareca changed his initial 5-4-1 to a more adventurous formation in the second half.
Colombia’s impotency up front means Peru could revert to a 3-5-2 formation and the two sides may cancel each other out in a congested midfield.
Yet Colombia have found the net with regularity against Peru in previous meetings, scoring at least once in seven of their last eight meetings.
