ATP Finals betting tips: Young guns clash in Turin final
Preview and odds for Sunday’s final
The best players in the world have been fighting it out for the ATP Finals title in Turin this week and Daniil Medvedev is looking to lift the trophy for the second successive year as he takes on Germany’s Alexander Zverev.
All of the hard-hitting action gets under way at 4pm and can be caught on Amazon Prime as we look to hunt out some ATP Finals betting tips for the conclusion to the end-of-season shoot-out.
The best v the best
The two winning-most players on tour this season will fight it out for the trophy and both have tasted success in this competition before – Zverev winning in 2018 while Medvedev is the defending champion.
It is likely that one of these players will take over from Novak Djokovic as world number one at some point in the next 12 months and it is fitting that it is these two that will continue their rivalry on Sunday afternoon following the Serbian’s semi-final departure from the competition.
It was Zverev who ended Djokovic’s quest for a record-equalling sixth ATP Finals success in the last four. The German came out on top in a three-set thriller on Saturday evening, dominating the deciding set 6-3.
For Medvedev, life was much simpler in his semi-final with Casper Ruud. He blew away the tournament debutant in straight sets (6-4 6-2) and was on court for under 90 minutes.
He will arguably be the fresher man for this showdown and the US Open champion has been priced up accordingly as 1/2 favourite. World number three Zverev can be backed at 6/4 in ATP Finals betting tips.

Medvedev has the edge
The Russian holds a slender 6-5 advantage when it comes to head-to-head contests but has won his last five against the world number three.
All of those victories have come on a hard court and include Medvedev’s success over his opponent in the group stage of this competition.
The Flushing Meadows hero, who also featured in the final of the Paris Masters recently, edged out his opponent 2-1 in their group match and a repeat of that scoreline is 3/1, while it is 6/5 for a straight-sets demolition.
Two of the three sets in the pair’s red group fixture went to a tie-break and it is 7/4 for the first set to be decided in that manner while over 10.5 games for the opening exchanges is tempting at 13/10.
It is 4/7 for Medvedev to strike first, with a 7-6 scoreline available at 19/5. He took the opening set 6-3 last time and that is priced at 5/1.
However, Olympic champion Zverev has overcome underdog status to lift this title in the past when beating Roger Federer and Djokovic to lift the trophy in 2018.
He recorded a straight-sets victory over Djokovic in the final that year and a similar outcome is 16/5 in ATP Finals betting tips.
You can get 11/20 for the German to win at least once set, with it 29/20 for this one to go the distance.
If Zverev is to prevail, this one is likely to go long into the Turin evening.
With that in mind, Zverev to win the match and over 23.5 total games is an option at 10/3 in ATP Finals betting tips.
