Mercedes driver is chasing a seventh world title

Lewis Hamilton is 4/9 to win the 2020 F1 Drivers’ Championship, according to our latest odds.

Hamilton has won six previous titles, including five in the last six years. His nearest challenger looks to be Red Bull’s Max Verstappen (5/1), with Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas at 11/2.

The opening eight races of the new season have now been confirmed, with the Austrian Grand Prix first up. Hamilton is 15/8 favourite to start the campaign with a win.

“Lewis Hamilton is odds-on to match Michael Schumacher’s record of seven world titles this year, making it four world titles on the spin,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas are going to be the biggest challengers to Hamilton according to our outright market,” added Hill.

“With the Austrian Grand Prix now set to be the season opener, Hamilton is the favourite in the betting to begin the campaign with a win,” concluded Hill.
