Newcastle 13-2 to break Championship points record

Newcastle have been cut into 13-2 (from 10-1) by bookmaker Coral to break the record points tally in the Championship this season, beating the previous best of 106 set by Reading in the 2005/06 campaign. The Championship leaders are 1-4 in the outright betting to lift the title this season and 4-11 to beat Blackburn this weekend.

Elsewhere, Tottenham can be backed at 50-1 with Coral to remain unbeaten in the Premier League ahead of their trip to Chelsea tomorrow teatime. Sunderland are 11-1 with the firm to either equal or break the Premier League record low points tally of 11 points and Swansea, Hull and Sunderland are 7-2 to all remain in the relegation zone at the end of the season.
