Lions launch devastating attack

England are unbeaten against Iceland in their previous meetings and shouldn’t fear the Nordic Nation. The Three Lions navigated their Euro 2016 qualification group with a perfect record, 10 wins from 10 games, and carried this form into their group campaign in France, emerging from it unbeaten.

Last time these two nations met, England triumphed with a 6-1 thrashing and, with Hodgon’s array of attacking excellence, will look to emulate this feat within 90 minutes.

Wayne Rooney is expected to start in midfield where he has impressed in France, while Daniel Sturridge is likely to drop to bench in favour of Harry Kane.

The trio of Sturridge, Jamie Vardy and Marcus Rashford looked dangerous against Wales. However, any combination of the nation’s frontline should be enough to overcome Iceland.

Expect the Three Lions to ease into the quarter-finals thanks to their lethal attacking contingent.
