Be sure to make the most of this generous offer, as Barcelona look to become the first team to win the Champions League consecutively in modern tunes and Pep Guardiola’s Bayern seek to triumph in the manager’s final season. Both clubs look set to progress, read on to discover why…
Barca banish Atleti’s hopes
Luis Enrique’s men have won all of their last three visits to the Vicente Calderon and have only lost twice away to Atletico Madrid since 2010.
Barca possess one of the most potent strike forces in world football and have scored 32 away from home this campaign – the most in La liga.
Diego Simeone will likely be without key defenders, as Jose Gimenez and Stefan Savic continue to run against the clock in order to be available. Combine this with Barcelona’s outstanding attacking talent, and the Catalan club should have more than enough to see them through to the semis.
Fernando Torres, who was stupidly sent off in the first leg which ended 1-2 in Barca’s favour, will also be unavailable because of a ban.
Bayern blast Benfica
Guardiola’s men possess the best away record in the Bundesliga and have only been beaten once on the road this campaign.
Bayern have never lost to Benfica in all their meetings and are yet to concede a goal against the side in Portugal. The Bavarian club would progress with a goalless draw, as the first leg finished 1-0 to Bayern.
Primeira Liga leaders Benfica, have conceded in four of the last five games – a fact the German side should pounce on. Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller have scored a combined 74 goals in all competitions this term and could see their tally rise as Benfica chase the game.
