There’s more Nations League action on the way tonight, as Northern Ireland host Norway at Windsor Park.
Scotland are also set to play, though a coronavirus outbreak means they’re up against a makeshift Czech Republic squad. With that in mind, we’ll also be focusing on a crucial Group A1 clash between Netherlands and Italy in our preview of tonight’s best fixtures.
Northern Ireland v Norway (19:45)
Northern Ireland had to battle to secure a draw with Romania last week after Josh Magennis’ red card. Will they have enough left in the tank to get a result against Norway?
Our traders have Norway as 13/10 favourites, with the hosts a 5/2 shot and 2/1 about the draw. If you fancy Ian Baraclough’s side to avoid defeat, it’s 8/13 for Northern Ireland or draw in the Double Chance market.
Norway will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Austria. They’ve got plenty of firepower up front – Erling Haaland leads the line, with Josh King offering support. Alexander Sorloth could also come into the starting XI after setting up Haaland’s goal against Austria.
Haaland is 4/1 favourite in the First Goalscorer market, or he’s 2/1 anytime. King is 12/5 to score his 18th international goal at any point.
Conor Washington is Northern Ireland’s likeliest scorer at 3/1 anytime, with Kyle Lafferty just behind at 16/5.
Netherlands v Italy (19:45)
The Netherlands began their post-Ronald Koeman era with a 1-0 win over Poland. Italy could only draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina – failure to win here could be very damaging to their hopes of topping the group.
Italy are unbeaten in the last six meetings between the two nations, but this current Netherlands side looks like one of the continent’s most exciting teams. We’ve got the Dutch as 27/20 favourites, with Italy 21/10 to get three crucial points. It’s 11/5 for the draw.
Caretaker Dutch boss Dwight Lodegewes didn’t make too many changes from Koeman’s blueprint in their Nations League opener. Fitness permitting, he may stick with largely the same side here.
Roberto Mancini is set to bring Giorgio Chiellini back into the side, with a mix-up leading to his omission last time out. Last season’s Serie A top scorer Ciro Immobile is also pushing for a start.
Memphis Depay heads the goalscoring markets – the reported Barcelona target is 9/2 to net first or 15/8 anytime. Steven Bergwijn is 16/5 to follow last week’s winner with another goal.
If Immobile gets the nod, he’s 9/5 to score for the Azzurri, with Andrea Belotti a 23/10 shot.
