Moyes and van Persie’s odds slashed to exit United

Published:

Bookmaker Coral has slashed David Moyes’ odds into 6-4 from 9-4 to NOT be manager of Manchester United at the start of next season, after yesterday’s draw with Fulham. The club’s rapid decline could spark a player exodus this summer and Robin van Persie is 7-4 to leave Old Trafford this summer, ahead of Wayne Rooney at 2-1.

Coral is quoting 2-1 that Manchester United finish 6th or 7th in the league, while it’s 15-2 that they manage to salvage a fourth place finish.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are 10-3 to remain unbeaten in the Premier League after a convincing win over Newcastle on Saturday, while Arsenal are still 7-4 to win a trophy this season.

“After failing to overcome bottom of the table Fulham yesterday, David Moyes’ is now officially in the firing line and with a top four finish looking highly unlikely, United are in real danger of losing their top players this summer,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
