Arsenal have lost four of their eight Premier League matches

After Aston Villa claimed an impressive 3-0 win at the Emirates on Sunday evening, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is 8/1 to leave his role before the end of the season.

Arsenal have lost half of their opening eight Premier League matches in the 2020/21 season and sit 11th in the table with 12 points.

The former Gunners captain signed a deal to become Arsenal head coach until 2023 last December, before seeing his role change to become manager in September 2020.

Coral’s John Hill said: “More questions are being asked about Mikel Arteta now and although our betting suggests he will remain in charge for the rest of the season at the very least, some punters believe Arsenal will cut ties with the Spaniard before then.”

Elsewhere, Jamie Vardy has been placed at 8/1 to make a U-turn on his international retirement after his impressive start to the season.

The Foxes frontman has continued his hot goalscoring form on his way to helping Leicester City top the Premier League table, and he could be included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2020 next summer should be make a return.

“Jamie Vardy continues to be in hot form for Leicester so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Gareth Southgate was able to convince the Foxes striker to be a part of his squad for Euro 2020,” added Hill.
