A bold five-fold with big returns

There’s plenty of action in midweek for football punters to get their teeth into, including the Champions League, English leagues and Scottish Cup replays. Click here to bet on all the matches at Coral.

We are in a fighting mood going into the week and offer up a five-fold which looks to take the betting by the scruff of the neck. £5 on our accumulator pays a whopping £274.30 with Coral. Prices and returns mentioned are correct at the time of writing.

Barcelona beat PSG

The standout fixture from Tuesday’s Champions League games and Barca have it all to do, but punters can take plenty of confidence from the recent head-to-head stats between the two.

The La Liga giants have won each of their last three meetings with PSG, all by a two-goal margin. They warmed up for this latest clash by hammering Alaves 6-0 at the weekend. Coral offer 11/10 on the away win and that’ll do nicely.

Dortmund beat Benfica

Benfica haven’t done much to inspire confidence in this competition so far, after finishing Group B second behind Napoli, three points off the pace, with just two wins from six managed.

Borussia Dortmund topped Group F ahead of Real Madrid and are undefeated so far, winning four and drawing two. They will be eager to continue their journey by grabbing a vital first-leg lead. I don’t expect a free-scoring game, but Dortmund are good enough at 11/8.

Preston beat Birmingham

Straying into the English second-flight and we continue with our policy of opposing Birmingham, with The Blues off to Deedale on Tuesday evening. Birmingham were well-beaten by Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, and have now lost three of their last four.

Preston are only one place higher in the rankings, but did win last time, beating Brentford with plenty to spare, and have lost just one of their last eight at this level. The home win makes a lot of sense at evens.

Newcastle beat Norwich

Another gamble, but another one we are sure will pay-off. Norwich are an improving side, they look to be getting back to somewhere near their best, but we can’t get carried away with that and must remember The Canaries have failed to win half of their last 10.

The Magpies beat Norwich 4-3 when the pair last met and have confidence to burn, unbeaten in five, showing four wins and a draw. They have been grinding out results, as only champions can, and will do the same again here at a value 7/4.

Hamilton beat Dunfermline

We give Hamilton another chance after they let us down first time out, ending 1-1. The Premiership side are now at home and it looks like Dunfermline have had their chance at an upset, and blown it. Accies grabbed a late equaliser and will look to make home advantage count, with our boys giving evens.
