Willie Mullins-trained horse is second-favourite
Melon is closing in on International Hurdle favourite The New One in the betting for Saturday’s feature race.
Willie Mullins’ Faugheen is now 9/4 (was 10/3) second-favourite in the two-mile hurdling realm at Cheltenham.
The New One is aiming for a fourth win in this race at 6/4.
In third place, My Tent or Yours has also been eased out to 4/1 (was 7/2).
Coral’s David Stevens said: “Although Melon was unable to justify Supreme favouritism last March, that was just his second start over hurdles. And punters are clearly hoping for a big run this weekend, when the five-year-old could even replace old favourite The New One at the head of the International betting.”
6/4 The New One, 9/4 Melon, 4/1 My Tent Or Yours, 6/1 Old Guard, 7/1 Ch’Tibello, 14/1 John Constable, 33/1 Dell’ Arca
