Manchester United favourites to sign hat-trick hero Gareth Bale

Fresh rumours over the star’s future
Manchester United remain at the front of the queue to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid this summer.
The Red Devils have been quoted as 2/1 favourites to bring the Welshman back to the Premier League after his record-breaking hat-trick against China today.
Bale struck three times in an hour to eclipse Ian Rush as the country’s leading scorer with 29 goals.
The 28-year-old continues to excel for his country but remains a bit-part player for Los Blancos.
He didn’t start either of Madrid’s Champions League victories over Paris Saint-Germain in the last month. And he’s only scored 12 goals in 29 appearances so far this season.
Those stats have sparked the rumour mill into overdrive with suggestions that Bale could soon seek a return to the Premier League.
While United are the current favourites, former club Tottenham Hotspur remain an option at 11/4.
Whether the North Londoners could afford the Welshman’s transfer fee and current wage demands remains to be seen.
Manchester City and Chelsea are also seen as potential options at 8/1 and 10/1, while you can back Bale to remain on the continent with PSG or Bayern Munich, both of whom are 14/1.
He’s 16/1 for a shock move to any Chinese Super League club.
“There would be no shortage of interest in Gareth Bale should he exit Real Madrid, with Manchester United long linked with the Welshman, and the Old Trafford club and his old side Tottenham are the front-runners in the betting,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
