Manchester clubs odds-on for Champions League last 16

Manchester City and Manchester United have both shortened with bookmaker Coral to make the last 16 of the Champions League after the two clubs picked up victories tonight in their respective groups. City are into to 1-4 (from 1-2) to reach the knockout stage of the competition, while in the outright betting, they can be backed at 11-1 to lift the trophy.
United came from behind to beat Wolfsburg at Old Trafford and Coral is now offering 3-10 (from 4-7) that the Reds qualify from their group and in the outright market they are 22-1 to go all the way.
“It was an excellent night for the Manchester clubs and an excellent night for punters as the City and United double proved very popular,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“The odds suggest City and United are both on course to reach the last 16, while City are fourth best in the outright market for the tournament,” added Hill.
