Man Utd tracking Monaco full back Fabinho?

Manchester United, 5/1 with Coral to lift the 2015/16 Premier League, are set to be busy this summer, with reports linking the Red Devils to three intriguing targets.
First up is Monaco and Brazil full back Fabinho, with Louis van Gaal said to be tracking the two-capped Samba star, who only penned a permanent deal with the Stade Louis II side in May, having spent the previous two terms on loan with the Ligue 1 giants from Real Madrid.
Flank threat Fabinho made just one senior appearance for Los Blancos, plus 30 in the Bernabeu club’s Castilla, before being shipped off to the French principality, where the 21-year-old has excelled, making 84 appearances across all competitions to become a key cog in the starting XI.
Having seen flying full back and apparent target Dani Alves ink a new contract at Barcelona, while Liverpool look to be honing in on Southampton star Nathaniel Clyne, United appear to have turned their attentions to a younger option for the right back berth.
With only converted winger Antonio Valencia and injury-prone Brazilian Rafael currently at his disposal for that position, Van Gaal needs to add fresh talent to his rearguard and was rumoured to be readying a £10.2m bid, though reports now suggest the Red Devils (7/1 to win the 2015/16 Capital One Cup) may need to at least double that to land the brilliant Samba Boy.

Elsehwere in Old Trafford business, Spanish press are claiming Man Utd have asked Real about the availability of another top defender in the form of France star centre back Raphael Varane, but have been firmly rebuffed.
Everton attacker Romelu Lukaku is another target said to be high on the Red Devils’ wishlist, with the big Belgian striker apparently a surprise back-up option for Van Gaal should the Dutch coach fail to land Atletico Madrid marksman Mario Mandzukic.
The Toffees targetman has long been mooted for a move to a Champions League club, though the ambitious forward only joined Roberto Martinez’s men on a permanent deal for a club record fee of £28m last summer, so could cost the red half of Manchester a pretty penny.
Having failed to replicate his previous form while on loan at Goodison Park, the powerful 22-year-old, who hit 10 in the Premier League, is far from a certain success should he follow in Everton old boys Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini’s footsteps by switching to Old Trafford.
