Luke previews his rides and gives us a few to watch

WE’RE about halfway through the All-Weather Championships now and all eyes are starting to turn towards who might be lining up at Lingfield on Good Friday.
There have certainly been some impressive performances on the All-Weather this winter so I thought I’d pick out a few horses that I’ve been struck by. Hopefully we’ll see them at Lingfield in April but they’ll be worth keeping track of once the grass begins as well.
Absolute Blast
Trainer: Iain Jardine
She was very impressive the other day at Kempton. I’d be pretty sure she’s a stakes horse and it’ll be interesting to see if connections decide to go to Good Friday with her or not. For me she looks a 1m or 1m2f mare so if she was mine I’d steer clear of the Fillies & Mares Final and go for the Easter Classic or the Mile Final. The twists and turns of Lingfield would mean she’s likely to be seen to better effect over further.
Brittanic
Trainer: David Simcock
I’ve watched this horse in both of his races and he looks a lovely, big, scopey horse. He’s a late foal and he looks a typical improver that’s going to keep stepping forward. I wouldn’t be sure he’d be one for Finals Day but he looks like a pattern horse and one to follow. I’d put him in your Horse Tracker right now.
Visionary
Trainer: Robert Cowell
I won on this horse at Wolverhampton recently and 5f was too sharp for him that day. He got away with it because he’s classy and he’s likely to be aimed at the 3YO Sprint Final on Good Friday. I’m looking forward to teaming up with him before then and then on the day too.
As for this weekend, I’m at Lingfield and I’m keen to try and grab a couple of winners if I can.
He’s very solid and always runs his race. As a result he’s probably in the grip of the handicapper but we’re hoping a change of track can help him out a bit. He has a solid each-way chance.
He won his debut nicely and in general the horses sent to the races by trainer Marco Botti don’t win on their debut. I’d like to think he’s above average and he’s sure to improve on that initial outing. He should take all the beating.
He seems to save his best for 1m2f around Lingfield so conditions will be his bag. It’s quite a competitive race but given the conditions he has an each-way chance.
Trainer Mick Channon tends to get his horses to improve for a run so she should step forward on her debut. She showed some minor promise that day but she will need to step forward to take a hand. She may be best watched.
Everything went perfect for him last time and everything dropped right for him, which he needs. I’d like to think that win would give him the confidence to go forward again but from stall ten it’s going to be tough for him.
