Mercedes ace is seeking his fifth championship

Coral make Lewis Hamilton the odds on favourite, at 5/6, for the 2018 F1 World Drivers’ Championship.

Briton Hamilton will be gunning for his fifth title having won his fourth back in October at last season’s Mexican Grand Prix.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “It’s one way traffic in the betting for the 2018 World Championship and with just weeks now until the start we make Hamilton odds on to be crowned top of the pile for a fifth time.”

The odds have Sebastian Vettel as Hamilton’s most likely rival this season. The four-time champion is 7/2 to win the championship in 2018, having last won the title in 2013.

It’s 9/2 that Dutch sensation Max Verstappen beats them all this season, with his team-mate Daniel Ricciardo a 17/2 shot

Meanwhile Hamilton’s Mercedes team are also odds on, at 1/2, to win the 2018 F1 World Constructors’ Championship.

Hamilton is also 11/10 favourite for the first race in Australia, which takes place on March 25, with Vettel 10/3 to win Down Under and Verstappen 4/1.
